The following update was sent on January 22, 2010.

Subject: Fileviewer Version 11

V11 has finally been released and can be downloaded from:

http://www.fileviewer.com/V11.html

The main new features in Version 11 are:

  • A change to the way that V scrolls a document with the introduction of a current line marker
  • The introduction of more traditional bookmarking (Ctrl+F2/F2)
  • File masks can now be used to filter directory names
  • Improved support for Windows 7/Vista (including better support for themes)
Further details can be found at the above URL. All users should read the "What's New in Version 11" section of the V Help file for a more detailed explanation of the new features.

If you have been using one of the V11 betas, you can simply upgrade by selecting "Check for Updates" from the Help menu, otherwise, download and run v11.exe from the above URL.

If your current registration is less than 6 years old, you are entitled to upgrade to Version 11 for free. The V About Box will indicate if your free upgrades have expired.

If your registration is more than 6 years old, you will need to re-register in order to use the new version. You may trial the new version for up to 30 days. If you decide not to upgrade, you can continue using your current version, at no extra cost.

You can revert to your previous version by going to the Control Panel to uninstall V and selecting the "Change" or "Modify" option instead of "Remove".

As always, I look forward to your feedback.

Regards,
Charles.
